Our ride to Ollalie Lake isn’t until Sunday, so we had some time to kill in Bend, which was fine with us because Bend is a great city to chill in. We spent two days eating lots of food, trying out beers and ciders, hanging out with Singsong’s sister, and doing resupply/hiking chores. We ordered a new tent to Trout Lake because the zipper on one of the tent doors isn’t working, got food for the next section, and made a few boxes for upcoming sections where grocery stores might be limited. Making the boxes took most of one of our afternoons.
We also had some great Thai food, added our hiker names to the pillar at the gear shop, had lots of great coffee, and Singsong, and I had an awesome breakfast date at the Lemon Tree, a wonderful little bistro. It felt so normal, and we’re definitely looking forward to doing that again when we finish the trail. The night before we left, we checked out Avid Cider, which gives PCT hikers a free drink and signed their logbook, then headed over to Crosscut, which had lots of Oregon beers on tap and a bunch of food trucks out back. Our time in Bend was restful and wonderful. If you ever get the chance, definitely come here.
We got everything packed and ready for the next stretch before coming to sleep, ready to get back to the trail.

Awesome post and photos!
Man this looks fun!
